Night held the Cat's Cove in darkness. Dense forest locked out the stars and moon and Miss Muffet had no light to go by. She hadn't expected to journey by night--infact, she had been warned repeatedly not to-- but she hadn't expected the cove to be so big. She had been walking for hours and hours, her feet hurt, she needed a shower, and she was afraid of how bad her hair looked.
Muffet's heart lept when she heard a small burst of mad laughter. Moving branches out of the way, she set eyes on what she had been looking for--Cheshire.
The cat sat on the ground under the illumination of a single lamp fly. He was playing with thread--or what Muffet thought was thread before she layed eyes on the spider who spun its web in a ball. Her heart fluttered with a slight fear--spiders where Muffet's biggest phobia. At the sound of her nervous sigh, Cheshire looked at her with insanity in its eyes. It wraped the string around its fingers, "Well you found me just in time!" The cat mused.
"In time for what?" Muffet sounded rather breathless but she did her best not to.
Cheshire pulled its hands apart and the strings spead between them to make a recognizable pattern, "Just in time for a game of cat's cradle, dear lady."
Muffet furrowed her eyebrows in anoyance, "I'm not here for petty child games!"
"Ooh, that's too bad..." it cooed.
Muffet wouldn't let the mad cat play with her, "I'm here to ask questions about the falling sky!"
Cheshire raised his eyebrow and gave a wicked smile, "Well then... I'll give you a catch," it held out its hands, "If you can play a game of cat's cradle with me--if you can do all the right moves with out me telling you how--then I shall answer your oh-so-important question."
Muffet could only stare and blink...She had never played cat's cradle before... After all, it had always just been...a child's game.

har har-- if you need to put a face to Miss Muffet, here--> [link]

I had the idea in my head for a while...and finally gathered the will power to draw it. It turned out okay I think :') what do you think?
